Limit is in Beta
How Limit Works
Understand Limit before installing
Limit includes two apps:

Limit's advanced blocking requires special permissions and a unique installation process.
The Limit App
What it does:
- Blocks other apps
- Once installed, it cannot be uninstalled, disabled, or bypassed — unless you wait for a delay or enter a pin code
- By default it blocks all other browsers except Limit Browser to make sure website restrictions apply
What it can't do:
- NO access to internal app data (banking, emails, etc.)
- Permissions are used only for app blocking and locking down relevant settings

How the Limit app works:
Limit uses MDM via a feature of Android called: Device Owner. This is the same process used by companies when managing their employees' phones. This involves a special installation process.
The Limit Browser
When you install Limit the Limit Browser app is automatically installed too.
Based on Firefox
- Limit Browser is based on the Firefox browser
- Firefox is similar to Chrome; you can also import your bookmarks and back them up by creating a Firefox account

Features:
- Blocks websites
- Forces Google safe search on/off
- Lets you create exceptions for useful content, e.g., a single YouTube video
Installation Process
Limit's advanced blocking requires a special installation process
- Limit has an installer to help guide you through the installation process
- Connect your phone to your computer via USB
- The installation process requires temporarily allowing the installer access to your device
- Watch a video of the full installation process
- Self-installation is also available via command line (ADB)
This setup is different from typical apps, but it's necessary for robust blocking that you can't easily override.
